Easy Meal Planning: The Rule of Thirds to Build your Body

Hi, I’m Lee Labrada, and welcome to Lee’s Lunchbox, my one minute diet tips.
Today, I’m gonna show you how to quickly figure out what to eat and how much if you’re trying to build lean muscle.

Remember this…
It always comes down to protein plus fuel. Protein provides the amino acids, which are the building blocks for muscle. Carbohydrates and fats provide the fuel for energy.

Let’s look at creating a basic meal. Imagine your plate divided into thirds.
Cover 1/3 of your plate with a protein such as chicken, fish, or lean meat. Cover the second third with your carbohydrates, such as yams, oatmeal, or rice and beans. The last third will hold vegetables, salad, or fruit. It’s that simple.

If you don’t have time to eat a sit-down meal, make a snack… simply grab a ready-to-drink protein shake such as a lean body, and have an apple or another piece of fruit with it.
